Resettable Fuses

A resettable fuse, also known as a PPTC or polymeric positive temperature coefficient fuse, is a fuse that trips when the flow of current received is more than the amount that can be managed by the device or wiring. A resettable fuse has the advantage of being able to reset itself once the power overload is reversed and current flow is restored to a normal range.
