3A adjustable Pulse Width Modulation PWM 12-36V DC motor speed control regulator with panel mountable know and control.

Can be used with 12 volt to 36 volt DC voltage input and can easily provide a continuous current of 3A to a DC motor or other DC load. Note: The voltage applied to the motor will be the same as the supply voltage applied to the circuit.

Convenient and easily use as rotation switch can be panel mounted and board can be surface mounted.

PWM allows for high torque control of motors.

With reverse polarity protection and high current protection.

Has screw terminals for inputs and outputs.

The board only operated the motor in one direction. If you wish to reverse the motor you will need to wire a reversion switch into the circuit.
Input Voltage: DC 12V - 36V max
Sustained current: Maximum 3A
PWM Duty Cycle:5% -100%
PWM Frequency:500khz
Length: 51.5mm
Width: 29mm
Height: 18mm
Fixing hole Diameter: 7.0mm
Cable length: 200mm
Operating Instructions
1. Connect your DC motor or DC load to the motor terminal connections as indicated on the rear of the circuit board.
2. Connect the DC supply voltage to the input connections making sure of the correct polarity. It is recommended that an appropriately rated fuse is installed in the positive supply to the board in order to protect the circuit from any possible damage.

This is a handy little alternative to buying a more expensive controller - it can be fed from existing DC circuits (of the right voltage of course), and seems to give quite fine control of a good virtually unused engine (GWR KG5). A reversing switch is required for connection to track if used as an engine controller: I recommend from this website a 4-pole 3-way break-before-make rotary switch with poles connected together so 3 amps can be handled easily - and a positive rail-feed current trip of 2.5A, 3A max, [to match the device]. With a bit of clever electronics you could use it to control your station lights! Drive the pot with a servo? All-in-all a good purchase which I recommend.
