Description

Heavy duty DCC power bus starter wiring kit which will allow a proper electrical power bus to be created for heavy duty DCC model railway layouts which can be fitted above or below baseboard level.

It has been specially put together for those modellers whose layout is less than 5m in length, and only requires a maximum current rating of 21 amps.

We have included in the heavy duty kit lengths of 30/0.25 power bus wire making the kit suitable for all scales of model railway layouts especially those with a high current requirement.

You are required to solder the dropper wires to the track, and the two components of the filter kits together. No further soldering is required below the baseboard.

The suitcase style connectors supplied in this kit allow the dropper wires to be connected to the main power bus without needing to cut it and solder to make joints. These splices are simply fitted over the cable and the connection made by squeezing them with pliers. The joint is strong and fully insulated.

The kit also includes small plastic P type clips that are used to firmly secure the wiring above or below the baseboards. These are clipped onto the wiring and are held in place using small wood or self tapping screws which are not supplied.

Should you wish to make this a true no solder kit, just buy as many of our pre soldered rail joiners that will fit the track that you are using.

These easy to fit and easy use DCC wiring starter kits come with basic instructions on how to use the red connectors, and how to use the filter kit components.

There is also a sheet that contains the model numbers of any additional items required to make re-ordering extra parts easier.

You have to select two different colour wires from the dropdown selection lists above the Add To Cart button. Available colours are black, blue, brown, grey, orange, red.

Please be aware that there may be import duties/taxes to pay on non UK orders before the carrier will deliver the parcel. Most postal carriers will also charge an additional handling charge for this service. We cannot advise how much these charges will be but will generally be charged at the declared value of the order at the counties tax rate.

All of our shipping costs are calculated based on your basket content weight and the basket total value including any taxes. Therefore as you add or remove products from your basket, the delivery charge and the delivery methods available will automatically update to those that are available.
