Railwayscenics offer many choices when it comes to making payments for your orders. During the checkout process you can choose the method you prefer. Any of the methods below can be selected on our checkout page. We do not charge extra for using any of these payment services.

Several customers said they did not want to use PayPal for what ever reason, so we added Stripe. Stripe is the name of a payment processor and works in the same way as many others. Stripe is now SCA (Strong Customers Authentication) compatible.

Making a payment using Stripe could not be easier or more secure and most major card types are accepted.

All you need do is to enter your details in the form on the checkout pages and click pay. Your details are then sent using an encrypted token to Stripes secured servers and they return a payment made as long as the details are correct. In some cases you may be asked to enter a 2nd authentication code before the payment is complete. This is the SCA part. This will not happen for every payment.

We never see your full card details and they are not saved to our systems at all. The only time we see the last four digits of your card number is when we get your payment confirmation saved to our Stripe dashboard.

You never leave the website for this payment method.

This payment option cannot be used to pay for downloadable products.
You do not need to have a PayPal account, or need to sign up to PayPal to use the checkout on our website when choosing this option.

You will be taken to a secure payment page where you enter your details and thre payment is automatically taken by PayPal. You can use most major debit and credit cards.

We never see your full card details, and only the last four digits are recorded on the payment record we receive in our PayPal dashboard.

By using PayPal you are covered up to a maximum of 500-00 pounds, if you choose to use a recorded method of delivery. Virtual products (downloads) are not covered by PayPals Buyer Protection Policy.

Please ensure that you return to our store once you have made your payment otherwise the record is not always recorded on the website.
Direct bank transfer (BACS)
We now have the facility on our website to allow payments to be made by direct bank transfer. Our bank details will be sent in the order confirmation email, so ensure you have access to the email account you used to create the account.

If you choose this method of payment please ensure that you enter the bank details correctly as Railwayscenics will not be held responsible for any incorrectly entered details.

Your order will be sent once we have received notification from our bank that a payment has been received, and not before.

This payment option cannot be used to pay for downloadable products.
Cheques/Postal Orders
We no longer accept cheques as a method of payment. This decision was made because our local bank branch closed, and travelling to the nearest branch takes too long. Sorry.
