New wire kept in stock.
We have now decided to keep 1/0.6mm solid core electrical wire in stock.  This solid core cable is rated at 1.8 amps and is suitable for DCC dropper wires.  This item will be available in the new year in a range of 11 colours and in full 100 metre reels of in 10 metre lengths.  The wire is British made and is very competitively priced.

We will continue to stock all of our 7/0.2, 16/0/2, 24/0.2 and 32/0.2. wires.

Pre printed sign sheets
We are planning to sell pre printed sets of our wide range of sign sheets.  We have updated all the sheets created new printable files and will be printing these sheets as reqired.  Prices will obviously be dearer than the downloads.  We are updating the website to reflect these changes.  The downloadable sheets will still be available.

Newsletters
When signing up for an account on the Railwayscenics website there is an option to sign up to a newsletter.  Previously we have not had the time to send these to our valued customers.  We have now updated the website and now plan to use this facility to keep our customers updated of new products and changes that we are making.  There will also be a section detailing any special offers that we are running.  Each newsletter comes with the ability to cancel any subscription to this service, so if you do not wish to receive these mailings, then just click on the link at the bottom of the email.

Water tower textures
Our water tower kit has now been updated and includes a choice of 13 different external texture finishes.

New platform kits textures.
We have now released our platform kits in 13 different brick and stone textures.  These textures will be applied to all of our new releases and all of our current models when time allows.  This was done due to customer feedback.  When ordering one of these items please select an option below the item description. 

Platform waiting shelter kit.
This is the latest of our kits to be released in new texture finishes.  This one now has 14 different texture finishes. Be sure to select an option on the product info pages as we have some customers who think that the website knows which texture they require the model in.

New range of products.
We had been asked whether we stock any other model railway items.  In the past we have always said No.  Well now we do.  We now stock most scenic materials, a wide range of electrical items, baseboard constriction parts, electrical wire and components and much more.  We are slowly adding items to our website, but it is taking time.  We hope that people find our prices competitive, and if the feedback already received is anything to go by, we are competitive.  Our postal charges are not overly expensive, and we do plan to reuse packaging where possible.

Railway club discounts.
We are looking at the possibility of giving any model railway club a discount when they purchase items from our website.  We have the discount package ready, and only have to find the time to add it.  If you are the chairman of a model club, and would be interest in a discount on all products that we sell, use the contact us form to let us know.  This discount would only be for items bought by the club for club use.  We do have a process to check each purchase, and should we find any club abusing the system, it will be removed and none will benefit.  Do not spoil it for others.

New style instructions.
We have now developed a new style set of instructions for our soon to be released 4 terraced cottages kit.  These instructions now include images if the assembly procedure.  We will soon be altering all of our instructions on all released kits as time permits.  Many thanks to the people that helped with this idea.

Brick paper sheets.
We have been busy designing new brick paper sheets in all of the scales. We will be uploading them slowly over the next few months. We have also added some new sign sheets in the larger scales. These include modern road signs, site safety signs and some railway travel posters. We have just completed a sheet of interior detailing for 7mm ft modellers. This sheet includes items to add detail to the interior of buildings. There are pictures, rugs, fires, fireplaces, and things like that on one sheet.

We have now uploaded some of these new scale sheets to our site, and the response we are getting is positive and definitely worth the time and expense in creating these sheets.

We have now increased the printed areas of most of our texture sheets.  This is particularly beneficial to those who model in the larger scales as you now get more texture for the price.

New scales.
We have had many comments from people that model UK layouts but in scales other than OO scale, that there are no models for them. Some have tried to rescale our models by printing at a different size, but have lost the quality of the original.. We are therefore starting to release some of the models and paper texture sheets in other scales. We are producing texture sheets and brick papers on 2mm ft, 3mm ft, 3.5mm ft and some in 7mm ft. As time allows we are planning to release models in all the scales. It does take time, so do bear with us.

New models.
We would like to know what you, our customers, would like to see models of. We do not really want to supply the same models as other companies, as there needs to be a large range available for people to model. If you have any ideas or suggestions, please contact us using the contact us form. Please remember that these models will be made out of card, and therefore need to be relatively simple to make. If we like your ideas, and we can find plans of your suggested building, we may decide to model it.
